Police hold ‘Bergotong-royong'
activity

The Royal Brunei Police Force
yesterday held a "Bergotong-royong" or cleaning campaign at the
Ingan-Ingan Muslim cemetary at Jln Agau Kg Parit.
Led by Supt Hj Mohd Don Hj Harith,
more then 150 personnel from the Royal Brunei Police Force took part
in the morning activity that included a "Bertahlil" ceremony. Also
attending the ceremony were both the Chief village and the village
head of Kg Pengkalan Batu.
The cleaning campaign was one of the
main activities held for the first time by the Badan Ugama Islam of
the Royal Brunei Police Force, which was also guided by the Task Force
of the Sengkurong Police Station. DSP Hj Hassan Pehin Penyurat Ahmad
led the Sengkurong Police Station personnel in the activity.

Hj Hassan Pehin Penyurat Ahmad said in an interview that the activity
was held to mark the 83rd anniversary of the Royal Brunei Police Force
which will be held January 12 this year.
The gathering was also held in memory
of the late Awg Jainuddin Hj Momin, who had passed away in the line of
duty, October 13, 1998. His family members also attended the ceremony.
Meanwhile, another group from the
Royal Brunei Police Force held a similar activity at a Muslim
graveyard at Jln Residency, Kg Subok, yesterday morning.
