Intending Pilgrims Attend Religious Talk

Bandar Seri Begawan – The Ministry of Education yesterday held a doa selamat ceremony for its officers and staff leaving for Jeddah to perform the Hai pilgrimage.

An officer from the Dakwah Islamiah Centre gave a religious talk during the get-together yesterday.

A total of 125 officers and staff of the ministry, including teachers will join other intending pilgrims in performing the once-in-a-life time pilgrimage to the holy city of Mecca.

At the function, they also received donations.

Handing over the contributions were Dato Awang Haji Suyoi, Deputy Minister of Education, and Pengiran Datin Hajah Mariam, Deputy Permanent Secretary. -- Courtesy of Radio Television Brunei
