Talk on misuse of drugs for hotel managers

Yesterday morning, a meeting to instil understanding and introduction on the misuse of drugs was held for hotel managers in the Belait and Tutong districts at the Oil and Gas Discovery Centre in Seria.

The meeting was aimed to inform those concern with the rules under the misuse of drugs and other related drug acts that they have to abide, RTB reported.

It was also held as a move to create awareness and commitment of various level of community in handling drug menace in the country.

The briefing given by the officer from the Narcotic Control Bureau also served as a two-way cooperation between the government's law enforcement agencies and the private sector.

Previously, there were reports of drug related cases that took place at several hotels in the Belait District.

Hotels have become the venue of such illegal social activities.

But with the cooperation given by the hotels' management, such activities were being crackdown.

To coincide with the meeting, an exhibition was held displaying several types of drugs and utensils used to consume drugs.
