The orientation programme to welcome hundreds of new students at the Paduka Seri Begawan Sultan Science College came to an end yesterday with a prize presentation ceremony.

One of the new students, Awang Haziq bin Awang Husaini representing the new Form 1 students thanked the teachers and the school for organising the orientation and giving their support to the students.

He said that although the orientation was short, the students had learned how to respect each other and most importantly become responsible students.

Deputy Principal of Paduka Seri Begawan Sultan Science College, Cikgu Pg Hjh Sarah Binti Pg Haji Kamaludin, said she was proud of the teams who received the prizes.

For those who didn't win, she said she hoped they were not disappointed as they had tried their best.

The Acting Principal of the school, Cikgu Pg Sarimah Binti Pg Haji Ahmad, presented the prizes.

The students read the oath of the school led by one of the Form 1 students.

The five-day orientation programme that included activities like Ice Breaking, seminar and Telematch, introduced the culture of Paduka Seri Begawan Sultan Science College in the hopes that the new students will become dedicated and responsible students.

The orientation also sought to build the students' self-confidence, teamwork, competitiveness and love for the college.
