On-line portal launched to promote SMEs

Several young technology entrepreneurs of Brunei Darussalam joined hands to introduce an exclusive portal to provide a one-stop web directory towards regrouping and supporting the business and commercial activities here.

BSearch Company, the operator of www.direct3.com stated that its portal provides more comprehensive business information that includes search for products, services and telephone numbers as well as in possession of new innovative solutions that understand the local needs.

Esjay Loh, the general manager, said the company officially commenced operation yesterday at the Unit 8, 1st Floor, Bangunan Hj Mohd Salleh in Gadong and its portal is set to regroup the diverse cyber activities of business companies here.

"We provide free listing for company names, phone number and business nature. We also list out their products, brands, location maps, full addresses, telephone extensions, emails and their websites for a small subscription.

"Subscription forms can be accessed from our website www.direct3.com or call 2452035," she said.

She said at present the portal has acquired support from the business community here because of its user-friendliness and usefulness.

In time to come, the company is trying to promote www.direct3.com to be the site that could cater the needs of busy executives as well as the public.

The main attraction of the portal is its web directory, which aims to compile Brunei's biggest and most comprehensive information listing of SMEs towards providing businesses within Brunei and invaluable network of contacts as well as providing them with vital exposure to the national and international business community.

The www.direct3.com is considered a good way to help and promote the local SMEs products and services worldwide.

Esjay said the portal is one way for them as young entrepreneurs to support the efforts of the authorities towards e-government.
