IDBB's $5,000 for Women's Institution

The presentation of a B$5,000 sponsorship from Islamic Development Bank of Brunei Berhad (IDBB) for the Women's Institution of Brunei Darussalam took place yesterday morning at the IDBB headquarters in Kiulap.

The sponsorship was presented by IBDD's Managing Director Pengiran Datin Paduka Hjh Urai binti Pg Ali to Datin Hjh Masni bte Hj Ali on behalf of WI (pic above). Also witnessing the presentation was the President of WI Dyg Haj Mahani bte Hj Abd Latif.

The $5,000 sponsorship is in conjunction with the ACWW Conference of Southeast Asia and Far East which will be held in the country at the International Convention Centre from January 11-17, 2004 with the theme "Working with Women Worldwide".

The active involvement of the IDBB in such activity highlights the bank's full commitment and support in diversifying both its financial as well as its social role.
