holds 2nd AGM

Brunei WBC members who attended the AGM yesterday.
The Brunei Women Business Council
yesterday held its second Annual General Meeting since its inception
in 2000.
Chaired by Datin Hjh Edah Hj Md Noor
and attended by more than 20 members, the meeting was held at the
D'Anggerek Apartment in Berakas.
Commencing the meeting was a
welcoming address delivered by Datin Hjh Edah, who highlighted the
Council's success in carrying out activities as planned.
She also expressed her appreciation
to the Ministry of Industry and Primary Resources for providing the
Council the golden opportunity as well as belief in executing its
duties of interacting with 21 other countries, by having dialogues
pertaining to global business issues.
The meeting's agenda included a
report by the honorary secretary and treasurer, election of the
working committee for the period of 2003-2005, report on the Women's
Conference in Beijing in 2001 and in Mexico in 2002 (both reported by
Dyg Noraini Hj. Mohd Taha) and lastly a report on the Women's
Conference held in Thailand last year (by Dyg Hjh Norhayati Hj Hassan.)
