BMS dinner concert on Jan 17

The Brunei Music Society will start the year with a swing by organising a dinner concert featuring a trio performing top songs from La Scala to Broadway and back.

The trio is flown in by Royal Brunei Airlines, the main sponsors for the concert.

The musicians are gifted young soprano Wendy Yong, and Eddy Chin, a baritone of rich experience who is as comfortable singing modern-day show numbers as the songs from oratorio and opera. They are accompanied by Evelyn Hii, a pianist of distinction who has performed as soloist and accompanist in the US, France and KL where she is the founder and producer of the popular mini-concert series "No Black Tie".

This dinner concert is to be held at the Orchid Garden Hotel on January 17 at 7pm.

Tickets for the concert and dinner are available from the Mabohai Club and cost $35 each. A table plan is provided for seating groups of 8 - 10 and requests for vegetarian meals can also be accommodated.

The last day for booking tickets is January 16.
