Ninety students including 28 who had scored 5'A's in the 2003 PSR examinations on Tuesday registered at the Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Damit Arabic Religious Girls Secondary School. They will attend Secondary One classes at the school this year.

Meanwhile, ten other students from the Temburong Arabic Preparatory School also enrolled at the school to continue their studies in Secondary Four.

They were accompanied by their parents and guardians and welcomed by the school's teachers and officials.

On that day, the new students were briefed by the school's principal, Ustazah Piah Hj Mohd. Sa'at, on matters pertaining to the school such as the school's rules and regulations.

The students then toured their respective classrooms and for those opting to stay at the hostels, their respective dormitories.

The new intakes will undergo several orientation programmes and activities during the week including quiz and sports events.

The school's mission is to ensure that all the students will receive proper education so that they could contribute to the religion and the nation, as well as to channel integrated knowledge and a balanced and quality education among them. The school is among the oldest education institutions in the Sultanate dating back to as early as 1965.

A Doa Selamat was read by Ustaz Hj Ibrahim bin Hj Mohd Sa'at at the end of the registration ceremony.
