Fifty students from Sekolah Menengah Pengiran Jaya Negara Pengiran Abu Bakar, Kuala Belait were awarded certificates after successfully completing their short vocational and technical courses at Jefri Bolkiah Engineering College (MKJB).

The short courses were conducted from December 1-28, 2003. Certificates were presented by the Acting Principal of MKJB, Cikgu Ibrahim bin Hj Abd Rahman.

Among the objectives of organising such a programme was to give upper secondary students a 'feel' of study life at vocational institutes and to introduce to them some of the technical courses available at MKJB.
