GHB `A' Champions Of Kg Rimba Seven-A-Side

Bandar Seri Begawan - GHB `A' won the Perundingan Kampong Rimba Seven-A-Side Football Tournament, beating the Rimba 50 'A’ team 2-1 in the final held at the UBD Sports Complex in Tungku yesterday.

In an earlier match to decide third and fourth placing, GHB `C' defeated Rimba 50 `B' 3-2 in a penalty shoot-out.

Ten teams took part in the tournament, which was organised by Kampong Rimba Consultative Council and the University Mosque Takmir Council.

Presenting the championship trophy to the winning team was the ketua of Kampung Rimba zone II, Muhammad Hj Kabon, while the ketua of Kampung Rimba zone I, Hj Asti Hj Abdul Latif, handed out prizes for the third place winners.

The director of the tournament, Hj Hashim Hj Safar, said the contest was an opportunity to select young players to represent Kampung Rimba at a tournament organised by the University Mosque Takmir Council later this year. -- Courtesy of Radio Television Brunei
