Home Made Guns Seized In Surprise Raid In Brunei

Bangar - Police seized a number of homemade guns and alcohol in Temburong during the weekend.

Yesterday, a team of officers from the police station in Bangar, Temburong headed by Deputy OCPD, ASP Awg Sulaiman, made a surprise raid on a house located in Kampong Sumbiling Baru, Jln Batang Duri, Temburong.

During the raid, the police found a few cartons of alcohol that were hidden in the storeroom.

But the raiding personnel hit upon much deadlier stuff when they found home made weapons and bullets.

The weapons and bullets were hidden in the ceiling of the house.

The police also confiscated a sharp weapon known as 'Tempuling' and several steel bullets.

Mancok anak Tarang, a 60-year-old local man, was arrested for further questioning, according to ASP Awg Sulaiman.
