RBAF Boys Wing Marks Silver

Begawan – The Boys Wing of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces
celebrated its Silver Jubilee with a Doa Kesyukuran and religious
ceremony on Friday afternoon.
The Boys Wing was formed on January
1, 1979 with 31 personnel on the first intake.
The young recruits were placed at the
company for two and a half years until they completed their ‘O’ level
studies.
The main goal is to produce future
engineers and technicians at the Royal Brunei Armed Forces.
Besides that, the personnel, who
obtained excellent results, were given the opportunity to become
officers in the Royal Brunei Armed Forces and to further their studies
up to bachelor and master degrees.
The company so far has produced a
total of 619 graduated personnel of whom 424 still serve the armed
forces.
A total of 195 personnel have
completed their services.
