Orientation for new teachers

New teachers at a briefing during the orientation.

An orientation was organised for new teachers including 3 newly appointed teachers, 2 transfer teachers and 12 UBD trainee teachers at the DPM Al-Muhtadee Billah College, Gadong.

The orientation started off with a brief introduction of the college and the briefing was conducted and led by Hj Mahrub Hj Murni, the principle of DPM Al-Muhtadee Billah College.

Hj Mahrub Hj Murni stressed on the expectation and educational challenges ahead for teachers during the new school year. He also touched on the ethics of the teaching profession to the new staff.

The briefing was followed by a New Year assembly held for the students of DPM Al-Muhtadee Billah College where the new teachers were introduced to the school staff as well as the students.

During the assembly the principal pointed out that the issue of spending quality time with students as well as teachers is a way to spend time productively.

This will help them develop self-esteem and other related skills. He also stressed on the importance of choosing a healthy living style.

The principal in his speech also encouraged teachers to diversify their teaching approach by acquiring the latest teaching and learning skills.
