Sad end to wedding for Malaysian men

Four Malaysian men, aged 30 to 42 years old who entered this country illegally to attend their relatives' wedding were sentenced to 3 months imprisonment by the Magistrate's Court yesterday for not having in their possession of any valid passes.

Morni bin Hj Akup, Roslan bin Hussin, Awangku Sahbudin bin Ak Matusin and Awangku Mohidi bin Awangku Matusin pleaded guilty to enter this country three days ago by using boat from Kampong Awat-Awat, Sundar, Lawas.

Meanwhile, a 72-year-old Malaysian man who also entered this country with the four defendants was released on 6 months bond for good behaviour by the Magistrate Faisal bin Pehin Hj Keiflie yesterday.
