Temburong runs dry on petrol
By Quratul-Ain

Photo shows the long queues at the solitary petrol station.
The Temburong district last week
experienced a severe shortage of petrol when the only petrol station
in the district ran dry.
Confused residents were forced to
ration the petrol they had for five days until the petrol station was
replenished last Friday.
When news of the refilling broke,
cars queued up for almost a kilometre, causing congestion on the
narrow roads that lead to Bangar, the main town of Temburong district.
People could be seen filling large
canisters with petrol, not willing to risk a fuel shortage again.
One resident said, "The station has
run out of petrol before, but it was only for one or two days. We have
never gone without petrol for so long. It is a great inconvenience."
BSB
staff were not availabe for comment during press time.
