Passenger suffers injuries in accident

Two cars collided on Thursday night at the Berakas-Muara highway, the first reported road accident this year.

The passenger of one of the cars suffered injuries to his face and thigh. The accident occurred at around 9.30pm near the Lambak Kanan national housing scheme.

Two ambulances rushed to the scene and medics treated the passenger before taking him to RIPAS hospital.

Fire Services personnel meanwhile cleaned up the area, especially to remove any petrol spill.

The police again reminded motorists to drive with extra care especially during the current wet season.
