Back To School In Temburong

Temburong
– School term for 2,400 children in the country begins this
Saturday.
Parents and guardians are busy buying
school books and stationery for their children.
In the Temburong District, the
preparation has begun much earlier to avoid the rush after the school
term holiday.
Some parents are still making
last-minute preparation for the upcoming school term.
Several mothers said they prefer to
buy school materials in the district as the prices offered there are
not much different from those in Bandar Seri Begawan.
According to Dayang Siti Nur Fatimah,
she had done the school preparation since two weeks ago.
She said she will only go to the
capital if the school stationery items are not available in the
district.
She hopes more bookstores will open
in the district so that residents there will have more choices.
She also wishes the district would
have shops selling school uniforms, including those for Arabic
schools.
Dayang
Rustiah Binti Rasyid also agreed with Dayang Siti Nur Fatimah on
buying school stationery in the district.
She prefers to buy the school
materials in the district due to time constraint and the inconvenience
in carrying goods purchased from elsewhere.
With the number of schoolchildren in
the district increasing each year, she also hopes that more shops will
open there to cater to their needs. -- Courtesy of Radio Television Brunei
