Fourteen Suspects Held For Drug Trafficking

TemburongFourteen men were rounded up yesterday in a raid in several kampongs in the Temburong District on suspicion that they were involved in drug trafficking.

Codenamed “Operasi Bersih 11”, the raid began at 7am until 11am and was carried out at 25 homes by the Narcotics Control Bureau.

Of the 14 people apprehended, 12 were Bruneians, one was Pakistani and another was Thai.

Seized during the operation were a small amount of syabu and utensils believed to be used for consuming drugs.

Following the investigations, 13 of the suspects were set free on sureties pending results of their urine test.

The other suspect was being held in custody for further investigation for possessing drugs.
