Online portal for local music scene

An online portal for the local music scene and a useful guide to upcoming hot events around the country called Musicpaperbag.net, now allows surfers to explore and provide some insights on what's old and new in the entertainment industry of Brunei.

Set up in early October, the website produced by Netservo Services Sdn Bhd currently has over 300,000 surfers logging onto the site since its formation this year.

With more than 100 registered users at the present time, Musicpaperbag.net is still under much development to improve its contents and provide visitors with the best one-stop content site for the local music scene.

However, surfers may also post in information regarding any local updates to feed. Other than that, surfers may also expect to browse through past events that have also been posted in.

Additional features include picture galleries posted by viewers, information on new film releases at local cinemas, a discussion forum, biographies of local artistes and bands, as well as feedback columns where surfers can also post their views regarding the service.

Winning hearts of the young, hip and trendy, the site has already received a very encouraging response. Netservo Services Sdn Bhd, the site producer with around five staff members, has already set up several Internet sites for other companies around the Sultanate.

Currently, it is also offering the shoppeadvantage card for local shoppers to get discounts of up to 15 per cent at more than 50 selected outlets here and Jakarta. More information on this new offer, which allows users to earn privilege points, can be found at www.shoppeadvantage.com.
