Chinese radio deejays in RTB Miss Wong and Mr Wen Wei in
'live' action.

show, to get the Chinese community involved in RTB's
programme.

Students at Chung Hwa Middle School were treated to a 'live'
broadcast show from the Radio Television Brunei station, the
Pilihan network, yesterday afternoon.
It was the first time such a
live show was conducted. The programme name " Pilihan
CNY2003" was held in the Chung Hwa Middle School, where in
the programme, two team from the school competed with each other
for prizes sponsored by Handsome Enterprise, Flynn bookshop
among others.
Mr Ideris Haji Ali, the head of
Pilihan Network, English and Mandarin Radio Television Brunei,
said the main idea of the live broadcast show was to get the
Chinese community involved in RTB's programme. In addition this
type of programme could bring Pilihan Network closer to the
public, he said.
He also thanked the Microwave
link and satellite staff of RTB and Mr Ang Swee Chuan for
permitting RTB to broadcast the show in Chung Hwa Middle School.
Miss Wong Mei Ting and Mr Wen
Wei, two of the most famous Chinese radio deejays in RTB, were
on hand as commentators in the show which featured a quiz,
talent performance and songs.
At the end of the show, both
teams were tied and everybody was declared a winner. Prizes were
shared among the winners of both teams. For Chinese New Year,
RTB will be organizing a quiz programme on Feb 1, 2, 3 and 15.
Prizes come from Handsome Enterprise, Sopan Enterprise, Delcol
Marketing Service and Century Travel Agency.
