The Department of Examination at the Ministry of Education
yesterday released the results of Brunei Cambridge GCE 'A', 'AS'
and 'O' level examinations for November 2002, RTB reported
yesterday.
Of 1,671 candidates in the GCE
'A' level examination, 1,199 candidates or 71.75 per cent got at
least one 'A' level. Candidates at school level achieved 86.52
per cent, an increase of 2.79 per cent with at least one 'A'
level and 8.92 per cent with at least two 'A' level compared to
last year.
Thirty eight candidates have at
least four 'A' level.
Meanwhile, of 536 candidates
sitting for Brunei Cambridge GCE 'AS' level examination, 407 or
75.93 per cent passed with at least one subject at AS level
standard. Of 5,313 candidates sitting for the GCE 'O' level
examination, 3,302 or 62.15 per cent achieved three to 10 'O'
level passes. School candidates achieved 71.16 per cent.
Some 369 candidates achieved
eight, nine and ten 'O' level passes.
Students can get their result
slips at their schools. Private candidates can get their slips
at the Department of Examination during office hours.
Students who intend to sit for
the Brunei Cambridge GCE 'O, 'AS' and "A' level
examinations this June should register at their schools.
