A crazy Sale at Jill &
Jill's mobile phone and computer shop in Gadong was well
received by the public. The 'crazy' sale slashed normal prices
by half such as mobile phone and accessories, computers and PDAs
(hand-held computers).
The sale, which began from 10pm
Tuesday till 3am Wednesday morning, offered "bargain
hunters" a chance to go easy on their wallets. It was
estimated that 1000 people swarmed into Gadong.
With all the excitement going
on, traffic jams were aplenty. Some people were seen dropping
off their friends and relatives distance away from the shop.
Walking on foot was rather faster, some said.
Apart from some restaurants and
cafés operating until the wee hours of the morning, shops in
the area normally close up by 10 pm.
