Sticker Warning For Vehicles
By Azaraimy H Hasib
Bandar Seri
Begawan - Motorists have been cautioned to keep their
windscreens free of many varied stickers and other paste-ups.
According to sources at the Land
Transport Department, under the existing laws only the Road Tax
sticker is considered legal on the windscreen.
Any other stickers and badges should
not be fixed on to the windscreen and shutters of the vehicles,
officials at the Legal Enforcement Section of the LTD said yesterday.
Many cars on the road have been
flouting this rule as their vehicles are adorned with a variety of
stickers from Liverpool FC to company contact numbers.
If a person is caught with stickers
other than the Road Tax on the windscreen or shutters of his car, the
person could be charged under section 18(4) of the Road Act and could
be fined up to $500, officials warned. (Courtesy of Borne Bulletin)
