Brunei Princess At ASEAN-EU Meet

Ambassador-at-Large Her Royal Highness Princess Hajah Masna has
highlighted the important developments in Asean during the country's
chairmanship of the Asean Standing Committee.
And these developments included Asean
efforts to combat terrorism and intensify Asean Economic Cooperation.
The Princess made the address at the
14th Asean-European Union Ministerial Meeting being held in Brussels.
During the meeting, the Princess and
foreign ministers of Asean and the EU discussed the progress of
Asean-EU relations and developments in Asean and the EU.
The ministers from Asean and the
European Union agreed on cooperation to combat terrorism.
The declaration reaffirmed Asean and
the EU's commitment to combat terrorism and stress the leading role of
the United Nations in addressing the issue.
In the evening, the Princess and
other representatives attended a reception during, during which they
exchanged views on the future direction of Asean-EU partnership.
The meeting was co-chaired by Hor
Namhong the Foreign Affairs Minister and International Cooperation of
Cambodia and Greece Foreign Affairs Minister Yeoryios Papandreou.
