First direct Mulu flights leaving Jan 31

By June Ong

About thirty-seven passengers including tour guides will depart the country at 8.05 am and 11.05 am for Mulu this coming Friday, which falls on the eve of Chinese New Year.

The two Dornier aircrafts, which have been chartered by Freme Travel, takes only thirty-five minutes to reach Mulu from Brunei.

The three-days/two-nights package which includes accommodation, food and sightseeing to places of interest will run from January 31 till February 2.

Instead of travelling all the way to Miri to catch the flight to Mulu, one can take a direct flight from the country, thus saving time spent on travelling and the hassle of waiting at immigration check points for passport chops and goods declaration.

The estimated cost of the package is $399 for twin sharing, and $340 for children, excluding airport taxes.
