Rules To Upgrade Quality Of Government Focused

Bandar Seri Begawan - Alignment plays an important role in achieving the vision, objective and goal of the government to smoothen its administrative machinery.

However its effectiveness and success will depend on the cooperation and coordination between agencies and government departments.

Three rules and regulations have been implemented in government's continued efforts to upgrade the quality and productivity and to bring new changes to the civil service as to be more effective and to be innovative.

The Permanent Secretary at the Prime Minister's Office Dato Haji Hazair said this at launching of the Alignment Workshop for the heads of departments in the Civil Service yesterday.

Dato Haji Hazair said the training given is as much as possible 100-hours a year for the staff and officers at all levels. It aims to emphasise the importance of training without exception to all staff and officers towards upgrading skills, work quality and knowledge enhancement.

He also said that His Majesty Sultan of Brunei has approved for the enrolment process of staff of Division 3 and below and in handling the disciplinary action for Group 1 and below will be managed by the ministries.

The two and a half-day workshop is hoped to provide additional knowledge on useful techniques in the alignment of the mission, vision, objective and goals. It also aims to enhance activities organised by government agencies in line with His Majesty's command and goal, which are parallel to the information outlined in the country's socio-economical development programmes.
