Twenty-one students from Perdana Wazir Secondary School, Kuala Belait, had the opportunity to experience the comfort of First-Class seats for free yesterday morning, during their visit to the Royal Brunei Airlines hanger.

The students were first brought to the Technical workshop where they met with various technicians and engineers. These personnel delivered a briefing on their job description as well as several safety steps and procedures in aircraft maintenance.

A welcome remark was delivered by the Technical and Service Planning Manager, Awang Hj Rani bin Haji Timbang. He highlighted the important responsibilities of technicians and engineers in examining every inch of the aircraft, step-by-step in accordance to their job manuals.

According to the students, the trip was very educational as it gave them an insight into engineering and aircraft maintenance.

Mr Wong Toong Hoi, the visiting group teacher, said that the purpose of the visit was to expose students to the possible options available in Brunei Darussalam.
