An educational drug prevention
programme was held at the Chung Hua Kuala Belait School
yesterday. It was organised specifically for Secondary Four and
Five students.
Cikgu Ahmad bin Hj Hussein from
the Counselling Department of Schools, Ministry of Education
delivered a his speech entitiled "Excellent Student,
Glorious Country Without Drugs."
While Sergeant Major Hj Awg
Besar from the Royal Brunei Police Force explained the
consequences of drug abuse.
Meanwhile, Pg Hjh Rosnani from
the Ministry of Health discussed the harmful effects of drug
abuse and how smoking endangers one's health.
Awg Roslan Dambong from the
Prisons Department delivered a talk on the "Last
Institution In Executing Criminal Justice System". He
touched on security facilities made available in prisons and
explained how prisoners were controlled, detained and why
rehabilitation programmes were important.
A Q&A discussion between
personnel and students was later conducted.
