Telecoms Director Awg Buntar bin Osman receiving the mock key from Mdm Elsie Suresh.

To improve its commitment and quality and services, JTB Brunei is the first government department to have a vehicle services from the car rental company (KSPS) as an "outsource".

The rented cars are for their officials and staffs use for maintenance-related services.

The presentation of mock keys and "Menepung Tawar" ceremony for the vehicles was held recently at open space parking area of JTB Headquarters in Old Airport.

The mock keys were presented by Mdm. Elsie Suresh, General Manager, Business Development, of the company to Director of JTB. Awg. Buntar bin Osman.

The government awarded the contract to Sukma Car Rental Ltd. for a 3-year term of B$942,516,00. The 22 new vehicles are 10 Mitsubishi Kuda , six Mitsubishi Pajero and six Mitsubishi Panel Van L300 from GHK Motor Sdn Bhd. Awg. Buntar Osman said the car rental service would also look into the problem of this transport system with full workshop back up. He urged his staff to look after the vehicles during their operation.

Sukma Car Rental Sdn. Bhd is the first company awarded a contract to supply cars for the government (JTB) through GHK Motor Sdn. Bhd. Previously the government department purchased vehicles for their use but now they preferred the 'rental system" which is cost effective.

They hope departments will follow the JTB.
