Scouts Seen As Constructive Force
In Country's Development

Begawan - The formation of the Scouts Association was to assist
in the development of youths, Haji Mohd Hassan, a local Scout leader
said.
The ultimate intention was to attain
the physical, mental, spiritual and social maturity so youths could
become a social asset and a constructive force in the country's
development.
He said this at the general
information course of Air Scouts Movement. He explained that the
Scouts Association is divided into different age groups.
The Cub Scouts were aged 7 to 11
years, the Boy Scouts from 11 to 15 years, the Ventures from 15 to 18
years and the Rovers 18 to 25 years.
Sixty Air Rover Scouts from the Jefri
Bolkiah Engineering College, Duli Pengiran Muda Al-Muhtadee Billah
College, Sultan Omar Ali Safuddien College, Berakas School and Sultan
Mohd Jamalul Alam Secondary School took part in the one-day course.
The course also included a talk by
representatives from the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF).
It took place at the Duli Pengiran
Muda Al-Muhtadee Billah College in Gadong.
