Bahrain PM visits Royal Regalia

HH Shaikh Khalifa touring the gallery at the State Mufti's Office
His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin
Salman Al-Khalifa, Prime Minister of Bahrain yesterday visited the
Royal Regalia building, Jame Asr' Hassanil Bolkiah mosque and toured
the Sultan Hj Hassanal Bolkiah Islamic gallery at the State Mufti
office. Present to greet His Highness' arrival at the Royal Regalia
building was the Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, Pehin Dato
Seri Paduka (Dr.) Hj Awg Hussain. The building is a home to a
collection of royal regalia including the royal chariot, gold and
silver ceremonial armoury, the jewel-encrusted crowns used during the
coronation and a replica of the throne, which His Majesty uses in
state occasions.
At the State Mufti's Office, His
Highness were greeted by the State Mufti, Pehin Dato Paduka Seri Setia
Ustaz Hj Abdul Aziz B. Juned and Deputy State Mufti, Pehin Dato Paduka
Seri Setia Hj Awg Suhaili.
Located near the Islamic gallery are
the Al-Quran, manuscripts, walking sticks and prayer beads galleries
opened during the first international Islamic Exposition in August
2001.
