A 34-year-old local man was fined
$1,500 or three months' jail in default by Senior Magistrate Hj
Abdullah Soefri after he pleaded guilty to loitering for immoral
purposes. Ramli Hj Hassan was spotted wearing ladies' blouse and pants
while walking behind Wisma Jaya Building at Jalan Pemancha on January
22, 2003.
Two police constables on patrol
spotted him at about 1.50 am and suspected him of involvement in
immoral activities.
PC 4487 Pg Mohd Ali Shah Bana Pg
Mohammad and PC 4456 Khairul Azmi Hj Suhaili tried to approach Ramli
but he attempted to flee. The suspect was however caught.
The policemen body-searched Ramli and
found a packet of condoms in his bag.
Ramli was later brought to the BSB
Central Police Station for questioning and he admitted to having
loitered for the purpose of soliciting.
According to Police Prosecuting
Officer Inspector Lim Chiang Han, Ramli charged his customers $20 to
$30 for oral and anal sex.
The Senior Magistrate ordered that
the condoms be forfeited to the state and destroyed.
