An inaugural ceremony for the 2nd Management Committee of the
Young Entrepreneur Council of the Chinese Chamber of Commerce
was held at the Chinese Chamber of Commerce Building in Jalan
Roberts yesterday morning.
The guest of honour was Dato
Paduka Awang Haji Abdul Rahman bin Haji Mohiddin, Permanent
Secretary of the Ministry of Home Affairs, who officiated at the
landmark ceremony in Bandar Seri Begawan.
Chairman of the Young
Entrepreneur Council, Mr Lim Ting Guan, said the new management
has decided to establish a new set-up of welfare, member
relations, public relations and cultural sub-committees, in
order to improve their work and activities.
It is their task to assist
their association in organising seminars on topics related to
industry and commerce including participation in fora locally
and abroad. And in addition, to organise special topics of
interest to improve the leadership quality of young
entrepreneurs.
The Young Entrepreneur Council
was founded on December 2001, with the objective of recruiting
talented entrepreneur as their members and promoting the
association's social welfare, cultural and educational
activities.
With a total 270 of members,
they are training the young entrepreneurs to be worthy
successors of their association for the next generation.
