Baiduri Bank took the lead last
July in the banking industry by introducing an innovative
product, which is recognised internationally known as "Baiduri
MasterCard Electronic Prepaid Cash Card".
Baiduri MasterCard Electronic
(ME) Card is the first prepaid cash card in Brunei Darussalam
that is accepted for payment of goods and services at 12 million
MasterCard merchants worldwide, including in Brunei.
The new ME card is a prepaid
card that carries the MasterCard advantage of being acceptable
in Brunei and other countries where the MasterCard sign is
displayed.
In conjunction with the
launching of the new ME card, a promotion was held where every
ME cardholder was given a draw coupon to participate in monthly
draws from July to December 2002 and six grand final draws in
December 2002. The grand prizes are a 1.6 Volkswagen Beetle car
and $20,000 in prize-money.
The grand prize winner is Awang
Mohd Saiful Rizal bin Amin who yesterday received the key to the
Volkswagen Beetle from Pierre Imhof, the new General Manager of
Baiduri Bank.
Mr Imhof also presented prizes
to the other winners. 1st prize of $10,000 was won by Dk Suria
Liza Pg Hj Ahmad. 2nd prize was won by Pg Anak Hj Hamiruddinshah
who received $5,000. 3rd prize of $2,500 was won by Mohd Suhardi
Haji Mohammad. 4th prize was won by Surhaya bte Sabli who
received $1,500 and the 5th prize of $1000 was won by Arinah bte
Hj Jalil.
The prize presentation
yesterday was held at Baiduri Bank's Yayasan Branch. The
ceremony began with the presentation of prizes for the Monthly
Draw December 2002 by Ms Lee Ai Cheng, Manager Card Centre.
The winners were Pg Husin bin
Pg Hj Chuchu, Wang Paik Kee, James Wong Kai Chung, Noryana bte
Nasu, Md Hanika Erwan bin Hj Kamis, Hj Moksin Hj Taib, Chin Pak
Voon, Hj Asmawai bin Hj Metussin, Siti Faridah Hj Mohd Sabli and
Mat Rusli bin Hj Abu Bakar. Each of them received a MasterCard
Premium Gift and an extra bonus of $100 credited to their ME
card account.
Also present at the ceremony
were Ms Alvina Chung, Branch Manager of Yayasan, and Hjh Halus
Suriany Hj Ali, Officer Sales and Marketing Unit.
