Ruler Thief Remanded

Bandar Seri Begawan - Thieves are not just eyeing valuable things nowadays as even cheap stationery has become fair target. Yesterday, the court ordered a 39-year-old Sarawakian to be remanded at the Central Police Station for allegedly stealing a ruler.

He is to be held pending investigations. The court also heard that his accomplice was still at large.

The Police prosecutor told Senior Magistrate Hj Abdullah Soefri DSP Hj Abidin that Phang Ngit Jong allegedly stole an L-shape ruler measuring 3 feet by 9 inches from Kedai Seri Sezaman Design Sdn Bhd at Kg Pengkalan, Gadong three days ago.

Phang will be brought back to court again on the January 29 at 2 pm. (Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin)
