A small community of the Rumah
Kerajaan Apartment Old Airport, Berakas are getting terrified at
night.
The softest noise or a dog
barking would make the residents jump to check what is going on
outside. The residents lamented that they don't even get any
rest with such fearful experience.
One of the residents said that
two years ago, his house was burglarised when he was not at home
and the case was still pending. Last Monday, some thieves were
bold enough to steal his possessions again, although this time,
he was at home. He has reported the matter to the police but
nothing has been done, so he is getting quite frustrated with
the authorities for their apparent lack of efficiency.
Another resident has complained
that sometime ago, a pervert showed an obscene act to his sister
below their apartment while she was drying her clothes. The
sister was horrified and ran back inside to tell him about the
incident. When he come out to investigate, the perpetrator was
gone.
The community needs attention
from the police to try and curb the situation. They hope that
officers could go on patrol at night to see for themselves such
illegal activities. The residents want to feel safe and have
peace of mind in their homes.
