International diva Anita
Sarawak arrived in Brunei Darussalam yesterday afternoon from
Singapore.
Accompanied by her husband,
diva Anita went straight to the Jerudong Park Country Club Royal
Berkshire Polo Club in Jerudong for sound check and rehearsal.
Anita is scheduled for a 45-minute performance at the "JPCC
Charity Extravaganza 2003" to be held tonight at the same
venue.
Call her a perfectionist, but
she went through the rehearsal singing all the songs. After
which, the sound technician thought he could have a rest, but
Anita went for another complete round of rehearsals.
Such was her determination to
ensure her performance will go smoothly without any glitches
that she went straight for it when others would choose to rest
first after a two-hour tiring flight.No wonder she is regarded
as the most successful Malay singer who took her singing career
as far as the US.
If any local artiste wants to
emulate Anita, then yesterday's rehearsal was a good example how
Anita ensured her performance to be near perfect, if not total
perfecion.
The charity event is jointly
organised by JPCC and the Community Development Department,
Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports. The Empire Hotel and
Country Club with Royal Brunei
