Mr Susumo Koyama, the vice-president of JUN Auto Mechanic Co., Japanese maker of high performance racing car parts is now here in Brunei Darussalam.

Mr Koyama has been in the car modification business since he was 18. Now 44, he has achieved several milestones in the car racing industry. With his skills and knowledge, he has helped tune a countless number of cars to finish at the top of the podium.

His past achievements include his masterpiece modification of a Nissan 300ZX, which clocked 424km/h, the world record for a top speed trail in USA's short track 10-kilometre run. This was followed by another world-record breaking car, a Nissan S14-Silvia, which clocked the fastest time in a US 1/4-mile drag race with a time of 8.887 sec.

His latest achievement took place at the Tsukuba racetrack, where his perfectly tuned Mitsubishi Evolution V clocked the fastest time in Japan with 55.976 sec in a time-attack event.

Mr Koyama arrived in Brunei Darussalam last Sunday and will be showcasing his expertise at the Sing Hiap Hin Keng Hwa Auto Co. Apart from the basic car workshop services such as repair works, overhauls, car servicing and maintenance, this company also specialises in producing the highest quality in car performance modifications, car tuning and power turbo acceleration.

The company is the sole distributor of JUN racing products in Brunei Darussalam and also the authorised dealer for A'pexi, HKS, Turbosmart, amongst others. The typical budget needed for best results on car modification may cost up to B$30,000.

The Sales Manager of SHHKHA Co., Mr Danny Lee said that this year, the workshop will be equipped with a Dyno-machine, which identifies the maximum car's horsepower and tuning system. With this dyno-machine, customers can experience the maximum output of their cars within the premises of the workshop.

Mr Susumo Koyama will be in the country until January 27, 2003, when he is scheduled to return to Japan.
