Brunei is experiencing a trend towards a more health-conscious lifestyle and this can be seen with exercising activities being practised by the community at large. Being healthy and fit is the way to go nowadays.

The first retail outlet of HealthExpress at the Shakirin Complex in Kiulap boasts a growing customer base. Hanisah, a business-partner gave an insight on some products that they have to offer.

HealthExpress, which imports a wide range of mostly Australian natural health products - from herbal and vitamin capsules to medicinal teabags and ear candles - has a wide range of products to offer.

When asked which products were popular among customers, Hanisah pointed to three products; 'OptiSlim 2000' - a vitamin mineral herbal supplement; 'Rocket Formula' - a multivitamin complex, and; 'Smoke Stop' - a natural herbal product for those who want to quit smoking. Products handling the management of cholesterol and diabetes are also available.

HealthExpress has a whole shelf dedicated to a wide range of medicinal teabags, which are said to help reduce the risk of falling ill, restore vitality and maintain health.

The products guarantee no side effects.

Aromatherapy products, such as their 'Sunspirit Aromatherapy' product range, are based on the theory that "feeling good looks good". These essential oils have a positive impact on one's emotional and physical state.

What's the secret behind these oils? They contain cell-regenerating agents that 'Revitalise', 'Rejuvenate' and 'Renew' body tissues, otherwise known as "The 3R's".

Aromatherapy helps increase one's vitality and livelihood. "If you feel good, then those around you will also catch this feeling of well-being."

'Rescue Remedy' products are made from natural flower extracts that helps calm oneself when feelings of insecurity or shock persist.

Students who get that "jittery feeling" - especially before taking their examinations - can just dab drops of 'Rescue Remedy' on their tongue, which would help calm their anxiety. HealthExpress also caters to sporting individuals. Nutritional food supplements from 'Aussie Bodies' deliver a variety of health benefits, including enhanced immunity, weight-management, sports performance and overall well-being.

If you're the type that enjoys swimming but dread the ear aches that come with it, or have suffered from bad sinusitis, bees' wax ear candles could do the trick.

Hydrotherapy spa treatments will soon be introduced by HealthExpress, which aims to alleviate the symptoms of a range of ailments. It uses a water-based technique that targets all key massage points from the neck to the feet.

Brunei is fortunate to have such "Health-Giving" services. Such services help promote the standard of living, thus leading towards a better, healthier lifestyle.
