Postal Services To Be Centarlised
Bandar Seri
Begawan - The Postal Services Department is now the centre for
delivery and receiving government official letters.
This is partly to facilitate
ministries and government office boys in their task of delivering and
receiving letters to and from designated destinations at one place and
on time.
It is open every working hours for
half an hour from 9.30am until 10am from 2.30pm until 3.00pm.
Meanwhile, the location for similar
centres in the Tutong, Belait and Temburong Districts will be set up
by their district officers.
The letters from ministries and
government departments will only be delivered through the centre the
stated times.
Every ministry and government
departments must not accept letters, which are delivered directly to
the ministry and department except the letters and documents address
to the department of His Majesty's Sultan of Brunei, members of the
Royal Family, confidential secretaries, confidential and secret
letters, tender documents, vouchers and allowance application forms.
In this regard, a briefing on the
procedures in delivering government official letters for office boys
was held yesterday.
A representative gave the briefing
from the Management Services Department, Home Affairs Ministry and the
Postal Services Department.
