Tayangan Unggul Sdn. Bhd., a subsidiary of Measat Broadcast Network Systems Sdn. Bhd., is embarking on its fourth feature production entitled 'Laila Isabella'. Directed by Rashid Sibir, the film stars Rosyam Nor and Nasha Aziz.

Rashid, a respected tele-movie & drama director, has produced a string of successful films in the past - films that have earned him the reputation of being a "modern and far-sighted director". His film credits include "Sutera Putih", which was produced in 1995.

Tayangan Unggul will collaborate with Rashid to produce films that would inspire youths and entrepreneurs to get involved in the local film industry.

Rashid who also wrote scripts for "Laila Isabella" said that the scripts were written with both stars Rosyam Nor and Nasha Aziz in mind.

Rosyam and Nasha, both highly talented and versatile artistes, have starred in many films, dramas and tele-movies. Both are truly magnificent stars; Rosyam having 10 awards under his belt and; Nasha, an internationally acclaimed model cum actress.

The stars lead a line of talented performers such as Erma Fatima, Hans Isaac, Liza Hanim (introduced through Tayangan Unggul's KL Menjerit ), Saiful Apek, Syanie, Azean Irdawaty, Seelan Paul and a special guest appearance by Tan Sri SM Salim.

'Laila Isabella', a comedy with "surprising refreshing elements" is especially for youths and the general public who enjoy local film productions.

It is targeted to be a highly entertaining film, one that incorporates humour, reality, fantasy, love and friendship, a veritable stew of everyday human emotions. The film takes a lighthearted look at basic human frailties, which belies an interesting message - an "unobvious" message but hopefully would "touch" audiences.

'Laila Isabella' is set to hit screens early this year.
