Approximately 35 participants from the technical colleges in the country and other Asean countries attended the seminar entitled Application of Automation Technology yesterday at the SEAMEO VOCTECH, Jalan Pasar Baru Gadong.

The spokesperson at the seminar was Mr Mark Shuan Casey, the Managing Director of FESTO-Didactics Singapore. A welcome remark was made by Haji Mohd Daud bin Haji Mahmud, the Director of SEAMEO VOCTECH Regional Centre.

The benefits of attending the seminar included getting acquainted with the new automation technology and knowing more details on automation technology equipment for know how transfer.

From basic training package and technology specific courses right through to planning, control and handling of complex, fully furnished learning centre FESTO has created a world of learning for them, which is tailored to their personal needs for efficient study and guaranteed learning success.

The level of manufacturing flexibility can also be improved, where flexibility is defined as the ability to change or react with little penalty in time, effort, cost and performance.
