Missing Kettle Makes Victim To Boil Over

Bandar Seri Begawan - While a man was praying a week ago $850 went missing from his office drawer. For that he did not make a police report.

But when the victim found his grass cutter and seven kettles missing, he boiled over. This time he went to the police.

Chief Magistrate Dayangku Rostaina sent 18-year-old Malaysian, Awangku Mohd Iskandar Awangku Sunting to three months jail when he pleaded guilty to stealing the money and the grass cutter and the kettles.

All the stolen items are to be returned to the rightful owner.

The Police Prosecuting officer told the court that, a complainant, while he was at Sungai Buloh Mosque to perform Zuhor prayer, found that the drawer of a table in his office was forced open a week ago and cash missing.

He did not make a police report, the court heard.

But four days later, he realized that his grass cutter and the seven kettles had gone. This time he lodged report at the Muara Police Station. Later Iskandar was arrested. He had in his possession the stolen items, the Police Prosecutor told the court.

Pleading guilty Iskandar told the magistrate that he spent the money to buy food and drinks and other things. He sold the grass cutter for $90 to a Bangladeshi. He divided the money among his three friends as they had helped him to sell it.
