Brunei and Thailand Military Link Gets Closer

Bandar Seri Begawan - Military relations between Brunei and Thailand are further strengthened through exchange visits from both sides.

The current visit of a 113-member delegation from the National Defence College of Thailand is one of such effort to boost the military ties.

The Superintendent of the College, Lt Gen Kasemsak Plooksawat and delegation paid a courtesy call on the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) Commander, Pehin Maj Gen Dato Awang Haji Mohd Ja'afar at the Bolkiah Garrison in Berakas yesterday.

Also present was the RBAF Deputy Commander of the Brunei Land Forces, Lt Col Haji Abdul Rahmani.

Accompanying Lt Gen Plooksawat were the Director of Civil Affairs and the Permanent Secretary of University Affairs.

The Thai army officers arrived in the sultanate on Tuesday on a two-day visit.
