Students end induction in sweat

The new batch of students at Paduka Seri Begawan Science College ended their orientation yesterday in sweats.

On the last day of a four-day orientation, 216 new intakes were treated to games, tele-match and aerobic workout. An instructor from Vanitas Bodyline was invited to lead the aerobic programme, allowing the students to understand the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

Paduka Seri Begawan Sultan Science College, one of the best schools in Brunei, accepts only top students, who received 5 A's in their PSR examination. With the largest number of new intakes this year, it shows an increase in academic performance among Bruneian youngsters compared to previous years.

Throughout the four-day orientation, the students were able to learn about the culture of Science College and to get to knwo their fellow students.

One of the students, Norsheila Ziziumiza said that she and her family were overjoyed upon learning of her acceptance into the school. She also felt a great future ahead of her, now that she was attending Science College.

In the closing ceremony, the deputy principal in her speech thanked the MP, PRS (student counsel) and the organising committee for the success of the orientation.
