Malay entrepreneurs put forum on hold

The plan by the Federation of Brunei Malay Entrepreneurs to hold a forum and seminar entitled "World Malay Congress" next April - an activity for its silver jubilee celebration - has to be put on hold. Its president, Hj Abdul Latif bin Chuchu said that the federation was still awaiting the permission from the Home Affairs Ministry to hold the event.

He said that preparations for the event were also on hold as the event would only go ahead after the official approval is obtained. Hj Abdul Latif said plans to hold the annual general meeting (AGM) in April would still go on where the members will elect new committee members to lead the party for a new term.
