Brunei In Islamic Trade Fair In UAE

Bandar Seri Begawan - Brunei recently participated in the 9th Islamic Trade Fair, held in Sharja, United Arab Emirates (UAE), whre the sultanate displayed local products that interested many visitors.

The head of the Trade Development Unit, Trade and Entrepreneurship Development Section, Pengiran Metali says that the Industry and Primary Resource Ministry has initiated such an event with the hope that local products will be able to penetrate the international markets.

The one-week fair held last month was participated by six local companies PDS Abattoir Sdn Bhd, Sabli's Food Industries Company, Brunei Meat Company Sdn Bhd, the Empire Hotel and Country Club, Reeda Handicrafts and Transpower Cooperation Sdn Bhd.

This is the second time Brunei participated in such a trade fair in the Gulf States.

Previously the sultanate joined the Islamic Expo in Jeddah.
