A Muslim convert woman, who does
not have any relatives here, needs help from the public to
improve the bad condition of her house, situated in Kampong Lugu.
The widow, Rohana binti
Abdullah, 48, lives with her two children at No:35 Kampong Lugu
in Jalan Tutong.
She works as a cleaner with the
government department with salary of $550 per month.
Rohana said her first son, 22,
is working with the private sector and has already married while
her 6-year-old daughter is still schooling.
She further said that she has
sought assistance from 'Baitul Mal' since the year 1986 to build
a house but until now there has been no answer because of
application file was lost.
In the year 2000, she also
contacted the Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Foundation, to seek
assistance. However there was no response, she said.
