Astro viewers now enjoy an
additional TV channel which focuses on general news and other
information on Australia, announced the Australian High
Commission yesterday.
The new channel can be found on
Channel 92 since December 24 last year and it offers selected
ABC Asia-Pacific Service (ABCAP) programmes from 7 am to 7.30 am
and from 3 pm to 4 pm daily.
The ABCAP channel features
items such as the Foreign Correspondent, ABC Business News,
Dimensions in Time, Health News Australia and the Nexus
programmes which include general information on life in
Australia, Australian business, tourist destinations, education
as well as cuisine.
For more Australian educational
programmes, Channel 14 - Astro TV-IQ offers interesting
programmes featuring various educational subjects such as
English, Science, History and Geography from 8am to 12 pm.
